STEYPA 2013 in Djúpavík
In the summer of 2013, a photography exhibition was held inside the old herring factory in Djúpavík (Westfjords, Iceland). The title of the exhibition is “STEYPA” – the Icelandic word for concrete, which is the material that the old factory is predominately made of.
Seven photographers from Iceland and abroad took part and showed their very personal and individual views on Iceland – accompanied at times by text, drawings and sounds – at three locations inside the fascinating old herring factory in Djúpavík.
The STEYPA photographers in 2013 were
Claus Sterneck (Germany, Iceland)
Emilie Dalum (Denmark)
Jutta Wittmann (Austria)
Kaja Häsler (Iceland)
Lilo C. Karsten (Germany)
Marta M. Niebieszczanska (Poland, Iceland)
Roland A. Mores (Swiss)
The photographers’ work was displayed from June 1 through August 31, open daily from 9 am until 6 pm. Entrance: free of charge.
